The idea of Product types
The concept of product types in the NEXT BASKET platform is used to categorize groups of products with specific attributes. Product types themselves bring together various product groups, allowing specific sets of attributes to be added to the corresponding products.
You can create product types in the Admin panel. Go to Categories > Product types. Hit the Create Product type button.
In a configured store where there is a considerable number of attributes intended for certain products, product types aid in organizing these attributes and associating them with the appropriate products.
Example:
If a store contains products that fall under the product type "Clothing," then the relevant attributes such as size, color, material, and others can be added to this product type.
Product types serve as useful functionality for segregating different attributes and products into distinct types. This contributes to better organization during the setup of your online store.
